Who this covers
StrykBot sells software to businesses. Two different groups of people end up in our systems, and they are treated differently: our customers — the business owners who buy StrykBot — and their customers — the people who chat or text with a business's bot. If you are the second group, the business you contacted is the owner of that conversation, and we hold it on their behalf.
What we collect from business owners
Your name, business name, email address, phone number, business address and website; what you tell your bot about your services, prices and policies; and billing details, which are held by Stripe and never by us — we store only Stripe's identifiers, never a card number.
What we collect from people who chat or text a bot
The messages themselves, plus anything volunteered in them — usually a name, phone number, email address, and sometimes a service address or photos of a job. We also record a random visitor identifier, the IP address the request came from, the browser's user agent, and an approximate location derived from the IP. This is what lets a business recognise a returning customer and follow up on a real lead.
Why we hold it
To run the product: answering the customer, quoting the right price, booking the appointment, filing the lead, sending the follow-up, and billing the business owner. We do not sell personal data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use one business's conversations to train anything for another.
Who can see it
A business's data is walled off at the database — one client can never see another client's leads, conversations, photos or bookings. StrykBot staff can access an account when supporting it or when the law requires it. Our processors are: Supabase (database and files), Vercel (hosting), Anthropic and OpenAI (the AI that generates replies and the embeddings that search your knowledge base), Resend (email), Twilio (SMS), Stripe (payments) and Google (calendar sync, only if you connect it).
AI providers
Messages are sent to Anthropic and OpenAI to generate replies and to index your knowledge base. Under our agreements with them, that content is not used to train their models.
Text messages
If you text a StrykBot number, you are messaging that business. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them and HELP for help. Consent to receive messages is never shared with third parties or sold.
How long we keep it
For as long as the business is a customer, plus a short window after they leave so an account can be restored if they come back. Deleted leads, bookings and notes go to a recoverable trash first and are purged after that. A business owner can ask us to delete everything at any time, and we do it.
Your rights
Whoever you are, you can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email strykbothelp@gmail.com or call (337) 486-8711. If you are one of a business's customers we will pass the request to that business, since the data is theirs, and help them action it.
Cookies
The marketing site sets no tracking or advertising cookies. The application sets what it needs to keep you signed in and to remember your theme. There is no third-party ad network anywhere in either.
Children
StrykBot is a tool for businesses and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will email account owners rather than quietly changing the date at the top.
